Description of the work
A moment of transition – between light and shadow, visibility and concealment. The black celestial body seems to swallow the light, yet it radiates around it: a light that remains, even though its source lies in the dark.
In Eclipse, the relationship between presence and absence is made visible – a cosmic image for humanity: our striving to grasp that which is greater than us, that which eludes us yet touches us. The delicate structure of the surface speaks of impacts and time, of traces that light cannot erase.
Like a metaphor for consciousness, perception and the inexpressible in the space between things, Eclipse makes you pause – exactly where visibility ends and meaning begins.
