Description of the work

Crystallized Moon explores the duality of light and darkness, of smooth surfaces and sharp-edged matter. One half of the moon is characterized by relief-like craters, shimmering coolly in blue. The other half is covered with genuine obsidian shards—volcanic glass that both refracts and absorbs light.

The work combines raw materiality with symbolic depth: The moon becomes a mirror of both the inner and outer world—beautiful and inaccessible, familiar and strange. An invitation to grasp the cosmic as part of one's own being.
